Recognizes commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance efforts
Otis Worldwide Corp. (NYSE: OTIS), the world’s leading company for elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and service, has again been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Most Responsible Companies for 2024
The annual list ranks companies in the U.S. based on publicly available data, including ESG reports, financial disclosures and public commitments, as well as an independent survey of U.S. citizens about their perception of company activities related to corporate social responsibility.
Otis ranked 187 this year out of 600 companies listed. This is the company’s third consecutive year on the prestigious list.
“This award recognizes our work to do well by doing good, and to make decisions focused on creating a stronger, more sustainable tomorrow,” said Susan Lester, Otis Senior Director for ESG. “As a global company and an industry leader, we believe it is about doing the right thing for our colleagues, customers, shareholders and the communities where we live and work.”
Most recently, Otis committed to set near-term science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets for Scopes 1, 2 and 3, against a 2021 baseline, which have been formally submitted to the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) for evaluation.
